so heres the deal, due to circumstances beyond my control I had to put my 4 plants in my flowering chamber a week or so earlier than I had planned. then right after that I had to leave them for a week under the care of some people I trust, but who are most definitely NOT gardeners. anyway, I explained to them what to look for as far as male vs female and what to do in case of each, but I guess they got busy or whatever and didnt check them as often or as thoroughly as I would have. Anyway, what happened is I got home yesterday to one that had sprouted male, must have been pretty early in the week too cause it was pumping out balls everywhere. I'm thinking it sat in the closet for at least 3 or 4 days with the other plants. the other 3 havent shown anything yet as far as I can tell. if no female flowers are present can a female still be pollinated??

what would you do? should I just wait it out and see what shows up?

were any of the balls open on the male? and yes he could still pollinate the females, all it takes is a particle of pollen on a pistil to pollinate.

no I didn't see any open. well I guess then my next question is IF the remaining 3 ARE females, worst case scenario is I'll have some partially pollinated ladies? like I said I didn't even see ONE pistil from the remaining 3 plants. as far as I know they could still be males.

If they don't even have hairs mate nothing to worry about, worst case youll get some immature seeds. Now I put a stocking over my males only head for a few days, then I removed the stocking to bend the branch over and saw one or two pods had split open... is it all over now for my crop?

if pollen gets released it can stick around in your room and eventually pollinate a sinlge calyx and produce a seed or two. you should be safe though, just clean your room really well after you chop the male.
