Which Aerogarden do you have?

Do you have supplemental Lights?

What kind of nutrients are you adding to your resevoir?

I started my Aerogarden 25 days ago. My buddy has a deluxe 100 (without extendable arm) as our control. We are using the basic lights, nutrients provided and have no additional support.

I personally have a the deluxe 200 with extendable arm. I'm using Big Bloom, Big Grow, and Tiger Bloom from Fox Farm Nutrients in Arcata, California. My deluxe has an extra 26w CFL under the deadlamp. We also have a 175w HID, and 14w LED Glowpanel.

Considering the controls my plants are twice as tall, measuring in at almost 12 inches, and has more new growth than you can count.

Some Issues we've run into so far...

Root Rot - The aerogarden has a supergrow setting that allows the lights and pumps to stay on for 24 hours. This is great for about the first 7 days. During day 8 and 9 the trunk of the stem attached to the sponge is hydrated to long and causes the stem to rot. Due to my nutrients and extremely quick growth, my stem got weak and flopped over.

Solution: Take a Wine Cork and rip it into a bunch of little pieces. Turn your garden onto tomato after the first week, and add the cork to the plastic mount on top of the sponge supporting your stock. This will stop the pump and let them air out, and it will dryout your stem around the sponge.

Watch your ph vigorously. Day to Day your plants will suck up water and some will evaporate causing your water to increase salinity.

Solution: Pick up a digital ph meter from lowes or any hardware or pool store and stick it between your sponge and plastic mount down into the reservoir until it touches the water. This will help with more accuracy and warn you before your leaves get nut burn.

I've done organic nutrients from day 1 and have had all of my own settings compared to the control, and it is honestly worth the 40$ for the nutrients and 80$ for the extra lights. Please let me know if you'd like to see comparison shots of each.

Thanks for the info, bro. I'm probably gonna end up with the delux with extendable arm. Kinda on a budget, so I'm gonna pretty much bite everything off lurkmaster's setup as far as lights go, with a few personal changes to the general setup.

As for the geneticists going at it over there, I'm afraid I gotta stick by lurkmaster since from what I've seen on here he seems incredibly experienced and learned on this art.

Hey definitely use your own nutrients my controlled aerogarden are twice as short as my supplemented nutrients. The tabs just dont cut it without burning them with to much nutrients.

OK the seeds are; The joint doctors "lowlife" series, Autoflowering Dwarf Mix! 24/7 lighting in aerogarden 200 deluxe then off to the red room base only with reservior airpumps and co2 using a 500 watt hps to finish them 18/6 lighting. we find that we get a better yeild doing a combo.lighting gig with six aerogarden bases at seedling, green growth and base only in the red room. no pics sorry.

Holy shit, 5oz per plant dry? And was the 1.74lb just one plant also or your entire grow? That's incredible, I've never heard of those results from an autoflower. I will have a very small setup, not the bonanza you've got, lol. Will I still be able to yield as much per plant? I plan on using about 6 42w cfls. I can't afford HPS lights just yet.
