Looking for Suggestions on Unique Setup

Background Info:
We moved into a new house that has a walk-in closet in a spare room with a continuous passive ventilation system built into it. Something sort of like this. The builder explained it's to help with ventilation in modern homes that are sealed up better than older ones. There are a couple of plugs in there, it's a pretty decent size, and we don't use it for anything. We're in Colorado, so no worries about legality.

I only plan to grow one small autoflower in a 3-gallon fabric pot. I'm not going for a monster here. I'm also planning on picking up an AC Infinity carbon filter and fan as I get closer to flowering (Filter, Fan) and hanging it in the closet. No exhaust other than the ventilation system built into the house, I'd just be using the carbon filter as a scrubber-type system in the current plan.

The closet is probably 5 feet deep, 12 feet wide, 10 feet tall.

Question:
My question is -- When it starts to smell, is the carbon filter and fan setup going to be sufficient to keep smell from both entering our house and any smell from exiting through the exhaust fan? Or should I consider getting some sort of tent setup to better contain/scrub the air?

I'd rather not invest in a tent when I have an empty, perfectly usable closet, but also don't want to smell up the neighborhood (or our own house). I just have no concept of how much one, small autoflower will actually smell.

I couldn't find any information about a setup with a fan in the closet like this anywhere, so happy for any thoughts from anyone with more experience than me!!

5 feet deep, 12 feet wide, 10 feet tall closet. Nice space. But for only one autoflower? Instead of a tent I would make a closet in a corner from wood or dryboard. 3x3 feet or so. Will make the scrubbing far more effective, easy to control temp and humidity, can walk into the walk-in closet and turn on light there without getting light on the plant, add reflective material on inside of closet. It's just way more convenient than using the entire space for 1 plant.

It’s really a try it and see kind of thing. One healthy plant, in flower, can put out enough stank to be real noticeable in a house. It also depends on your tolerance for the smell. My wife can immediately tell when I open my tent, even on a different level of the house.

I’d suggest a 2x4 tent, it will make things much easier in a lot of different ways. Good luck!

edit to add - biggest benefit is you are carbon scrubbing a smaller space and can maintain negative tent pressure.

I say just grow it. If it smells, hook a carbon filter to your exhaust from the blower of your 'passive' ventilation.
This guy is gonna grow a sequoia in a three gallon bag. Must have the dankiest gear to pop. I'm sure he can get all the trichs amber before day fifty eight. There is braggadocious, conceited, and out right pompous. I'm having a time trying to figure this one. English is not my first language.
With those off the chain grow skills, I cannot wait for the journal pix. 'Bout a pound. Perhaps you can bottle the scent and make a scratch and sniff out of it, so us mortal growers can have a goal to attempt to achieve.
But seriously, I hope you have a great grow and get some kine bud that you and your friends can get baked out of your skulls from. Good luck.

I'm blasting 3fems and 8autos in a one bedroom apt. All setup in my dining room. I'm in flower with some autos and about to flip my fems. The stank be damned. It's gonna happen with one plant or a dozen.
Considering a additional filer n blower combo to scrub the room outside the tents. In the tents airflow is to high to scrub properly. A external filter may help. Even then...it's gonna smell like I've opened a dispensary in the apt complex..lol.
