the stuff we had in the late 80s 90s was skunk 1. i asked the old guy we got it from many times. he got it from washington state.
Looking for the skunkiest roadkill smelling strain...

we didnt have to pheno hunt either. every seed we popped was almost the same. stinkiest stuff i ever experienced.

Well i was El Primero Huero of a socal chicano "club" in the 80s. I had direct knowledge of the source of the truckloads we guarded as unpaid underage security guards. They also had chicken coops which were empty houses full of "pollo". No furniture,no carpet, no electricity. Just about 100 frightened immigrants cowering against the walls as they waited for the next truck. They would grab their kids when we walked in and we were only kids ourselves.
So back to sam....
He took California skunk bud seeds to the euro and then "created skunk1"

we lost that stuff in the early 90s,. and when my folks moved to va in 94, his new neighbor buddy had some stuff going that was darn close to ours. like 90% close. see what im sayin..

All I see is a bunch of people talking and making claims for years but have yet to see one plant in circulation from any of it that even resembles what people are saying is skunk LOL. Not a single one

I know people are after the skunk and I wish ya luck. I haven’t smelled real skunk bud since the 90s and it was rare then. We did get a ton of that old cat piss/burnt rubber tho and that flavor wasn’t hard to find today.
I read some interview with Hazeman recently and think he says he’s been working a skunk line. His Malawi gold sold out so fast this New Years I’d imagine if he drops this skunk it’ll be hard to get. Long interview it’s at the end.

A well known member here talked a big game about finishing up a skunk project and never delivered, not sure if he ever gave an explanation on what came of it. What else gets me is when I see a NL5x :insert and other strain:: or a skunk 1 x :insert anything::: and then ask the breeder for just the just the nl5 or #1 and all you hear is radio silence hahah

Thanks for the heads up. I didn’t know that no!
Read some controversy with his genetic sources and naming but thought that in the end it was explained and he was pretty legit. Kind of a bummer to hear but I’ve been around enough to know I’ve just scratched the surface of a lot of what’s gone down.
I’ve heard some say they’ll find it and it fades in cure recently. I don’t know what to think overall. I definitely encountered skunk bud but I wasn’t as sensitive to nuances at the time.

I think if you stick around the sidelines long enough and watch seed “breeders” from beginning middle and end, you will see that 90% of the people out there are completely full of shit
