looking to start a hydro farm

I have been doing soil for ever and would like to give hydro a try now due to having to get rid of so much soil and bring in new soil and all the transplanting and pots sitting around. i am looking for someone to recomend the best setup for someone that knows what to do just hasnt done hydro yet. i want a system that will fit in a 5x10 room and run well with 2000 watts over it. thanks for the input

I suggest DWC from my experience. Im growing my first grow of any sort and doing an alright job,it seems almost easy (knock on wood). I did alot of reading and utube watching to get a start.

If you want to do hydro because "soil is too much of a hassle", you're in for a rude awakening.

I would recommend RDWC (recirculating deep water culture). Deep water culture is when the roots of the plant are in a bucket of highly aerated water. Recirculating DWC means that all the containers are attached to a single res to make things easier.

no not because its a hassle but moreso because its hard to get rid of the soil afterward and all the extra space it takes to have the containers you need for the transplanting. i would like to be able to empty a res. and fill it again and not worrie about were im going to put a 50 gal drum of dirt. i work on my garden 2 to 3 times daily so it is not because of the time or hassle.

size room like that you should do rdwc, you can have some good size buckets with bubbles in each one.. wooooo brings a tear to my eye

thanks everyone for your input .I have started to purchase the things i need to do a rdwc in my room with 3-400w hps. i'll keep the room with 1000w hps going on soil just to make sure i get somthing good out of the other room before making a full switch over.

I'm going to say titans flo n gro. I use it and love it. Easy to clean and plug and play. Only draw back for you would be getting rid of 130L of hydraton. I'm in the mix for adding sites and moving res out of the room so I can use my whole room this grow.
