Used to be cal mag was the answer for everything. Bad color? Give cal mag. Stunted. Cal mag.

Now it’s pH. Lol. And people comparing meters? Litmus paper is more than adequate for our purposes. Guarandamnteed.
Should of seen how bad i was made fun of for suggesting not to use any ph meters back in 2008-09 on this forum..... they thought i was a joke. Eventually people wised up to what soil actually is an does.

Now its a giant deal with calmag ? Im assuming that came about because nutrient companies cannot mix Ca and P without issues. (in a liquid form)
So im not against the knowledge being put out but it would be better if we learned why they dont put them together and not just assume they are ripping us off.....or just use powder and forget it...

I was almost laughed off just a few years ago claiming beneficials were key to a good crop. There’s people on here still who mocked that. It’s all about the lights and the etc. And now? Everyone knows Great White and etc.

I was a dialysis nurse. I know water. Really really well. If litmus paper is sufficient for the preliminary check of the water it’s good enough for our purposes for damned sure. Unless you’re truly in hydro. Hydro. Not growing like it’s hydro but actually hydroponics.

Hi guys...

So I did this to all my girls. Was thinkin if i didnt i was gonna wonder what it would be if i did....
I really hope they can handle this treatment...
I cut some big low branches, lollypopped and picked some top leaves....
you should of done that a week or so ago but your strains are mean bushes! You cannot hurt them without taking 50% or more of the plant away .....even 75% of the plant would be ok , they are super healthy.
I feel like you have no choice but to tremove some of the bigger fan leaves to get light down in there..... IF the light is not getting through , then cut it off.... If you see a couple dim branches in the middle , cut them off.... your wanting ALL then energy of that plant to focus on the tops only.

There is no proper time to flower. You could of started flowering a month ago if you wanted....or you can wait another year if you want. Its literally on you.
I still do an outdated SOG so i flower them within 2 weeks of cloning them. mine are not even close to half of one of yours.

All in all you are doing very well! lets start the flip very soon so something dont go astray

Bennies are the key to a good crop. That applies in ANY soil/peat/coco or any other soiless mix. thats just the way it is...

Most have no clue what mycos do but at least they are trying. No big deal. In my opinion , myco is essential but the other bennies are much more important.
I think great white is better over the years , it used to be just endo and ecto myco . now i think it has all the good microbes in it. (not quite a fresh scoop of castings but a whole lot better then no bennies. )

Another thing was the growing use of LED and potassium deficiency. I’m now of the thought it was more complicated than just LED. Such as coco use without rinsing or whatever. But check deficiency posts and see the majority are usually potassium. People see it early and think it’s nitrogen toxicity and start flushing. Then “Help! My babies are worse!”

Hi ma mates!

1 week in flower. Got a little used to looking at the canopy....forgot the underneath...found a lot of dead leaves and dead small branches.... top canopy looking a bit light? Is the top eating the bottom? Up my feed?

Just tuned the light intesity up from 75 to 100. About 80cm.

PS, no sign of bugs pheeeew

Peace!!

If i were you , i would take a LOT more off them girls , they are too full and everything in the center underneath the canopy will be a waste of space.....cut all that off so your tops are the only thing to focus on. You will be happy.

Its close to time to raise the feed but be careful , your only job is to keep them as healthy as they are now.
