Im havin the same issue buddy. was hoping curing would bring some scent and flavour back. really dont understand it. my dry rooms dark and happy at 74 deg farenheight with approx 40/50 humidity. just grown some lush jack herer. gained bout 10/11 oz off her dry and man was she stinky and sticky with loads of crystal but now shes like an old hag, smells gone. not much stick to it anymore and only a very mild high which after the first j ya dont really feel much more. gota say tho i am smokin the smaller stuff that dries first so maybe the bigger buds will be sweeter. i jus dont want to screw up a potentially pukka crop. i pay great attention to temp and humidity so i dont think thats my problem as from what iv read in books and got from others i got settings at the same as everyone else. so frustrating not knowing what to do about it all. please all you pro's, some advice if you dont mind.

Just wondering john, did you cut your too early perchance as i know that can have a serious affect (tried and tested, doh) on final weed smell and strength.

·In a cool room buds dry slowly because the air can hold a small amount of moisture. This gives the cells time to convert starches back to sugars, & creates a smoother smoke. The coolness preserves odor molecules, which evaporate at higher temperatures. When drying in a room with high humidity & temperatures the odor molecules evaporate in the high temperature but the moisture has no place to go because the air is already saturated. with lower humidity, the plants would dry quickly and little odor would be lost.
· Allow 5-14 days of dry time.
· Temperature = 65-75*F. Best @ 70*F
· Humidity = 45-55%
also curing will make it alot better and the smell better, it like a fine wine the longer i curs the better it gets.
i use to have the same prob but mine smelt like wet grass or hay. i just do this and no more problems. if ur conditions are all around what i just said and still no smell curing will give its smell back just cure for a least 2 weeks.

I believe you may be drying too long. Maybe try drying only until the stems barely snap, not bend. Then jar. Burp the jars twice a day for the first week then once a day for the second week. If at any time the bud seems wet when you burp, take it out of the jar for 30 minutes and put it back in. I bet that gets you some stank back.
