Lots of problems early on? Water?

Here are the basics, light green leaves, some purple stems (not the main stem), small brown tips of new growth and a few like white dots on the top fan leaves. Im using FFOF and tap water. I didn't think my CLONE would be this far off in excess and deficiencies in this soil. Any one think it could just be my tap? For my next watering ill be using distilled water regardless.

yea it could be a water or ph problem,or maybe the soil a little hot....but when you say little dots that always makes me think spidermights ....

here are some photos from 2 seconds ago. U can see the original fan leaves are shot, haven't gotten noticeable worse in the past week except a few brown edges which scares me.. New growth looks OK to me, but I'm shooting for better than that.. On pic 1 its doing the whole "claw" thing, but I have no idea what that means.

The first thing I do before diagnosing nut problems is check ph. A soil probe can be cheap and very effective. Well worth the investment.

good idea! ill see if i can pick one up. Went to CVS and they sold distilled water and water "purified through reverse osmosis and/or distillation, and ozonation" We'll see what happens, but till i see her again, ill work on getting one of those.

I can see why you didnt want to put up pics Kev, they look bloody terrible, but not dead and can still recover.
It looks like a ph issue locking out nutes. Get a digital ph pen ($25) with adjusters ($20) and see what the tap water ph is, and adjust to 6.5 water and feeding. For eg my water is 8.8 so if continously use this without adjustment it will slowly raise ph enough to lock out N and other nutrients. I always adjust to 6.5 when flushing and i use canna nutes almost every watering and the ph goes to 6.5 without adjustment. Also dont r/o the water and leave it outside ,by the time you water its probably full of pathogens. When you start to feed use 1/2 first then full ,not 1/4. Make sure temps are 70-80.

ur the man. i am not R/Oing the water myself.. just buying it bottled. I will get a ph tester and see how the tap is, r/o water, and the soil. Im just dying for this plant to take off.

How often is the air exchanged in the room?
Could be spider mites.
Could also be light-burn but looks strange. It's only on certain parts and not necessarily at the top as you'd expect. Have you got foil on the walls creating hot spots?

yes i do, but the new growth is ok. I had a tin cover over the lights to reflect and thats when those spots were created. i took it off so all is well since then. Im almost sure its my pH so ill be checking that as soon as possible. then just the NPK ratio
