you could probably do 16 plants in 1 gallon containers too. or 30ish plants in 6 inch containers 12/12 from seed.

big containers are easy but more important to get waterings and feedings correct.

Be careful in your planni9ng. Be willing to adapt. It is commendable that you want to veg for 10 weeks, however; You have to be aware that your plants will stretch 2-3 x's the size once flower photo period is induced. So, be willing to flower earlier if your plants get to tall. :)

I believe it gives the roots much more room to stretch their leggs. Pretty much eliminates a plant becoming rootbound. So long as their are enough nutrient in you medium to go around why would they compete? This is day 14 of 12/12.DSC_0043.JPG

Personally I chose to go with 16 plants on a perpetual SOG. I put 2 clones about 1ft tall in each week. This way I harvest 2 plants a week with 4-6oz per harvest dried. I use 3 gallon smart pots.

If i set up a 4 x 4 grow it would be sea of green using clones with 6 to 8 nodes & zero side branching , i'd do 25 plants in a 4 x 4 flood table & end up harvesting between 2 to 3.5 ounces per plant for a grand total yield of around 50 ounces .

Numbers quoted are half my normal harvest weights using my 4 ft x 8 ft tables where i use 3 large hooded 600 watt hps for total canopy coverage with canopy touching the glass for excellent deep penetration .

Nothing beats SOG when space is small as you are using , you should pull a minimum of 3 lbs from 4 x 4 space with sog .
