Now here's the casting call: we are looking for you. If you are passionate about marijuana (and/or hemp) and want to join the cause and help show the world that regular cannabis users are just like everyone else; normal people - then this is where you need to be!
If you are passionate about marijuana and feel as if you would be a good fit, you are the type of person we are looking for. You do not necessarily need to enjoy cannabis 24/7, but if you can appreciate it and have a keen interest in some facet of the dank lifestyle (music, movies, art, ect.) and feel as if you can write for your fellow stoner audience then please do contact us.
Currently Seeking:
Writers who can write about our areas of interest (marijuana, art, music, movies, ect.) bearing in mind our cannabis loving audience and write for them! You too should enjoy the same lifestyle we do; as proud cannasseurs, and know exactly what it is a stoner wants to light up and read or see/watch on our one stop haven of a website.
Right now we are in urgent need of a 'Strain Review Specialist' Editor who's job will be - you guessed it, submitting reviews of the dopest dope on the regular.
Some Things We Are Hoping For..
- Experience writing for the web/a blog in the past would be preferred. Blog writing and essay writing, for example, are very different. If you're a regular blog reader (which we would hope!) you know what we're talking about.
- Ability to committ enough time to contribute (2)+ articles a week would be preferred. Although this position is voluntary for the time being (more details below, of course) we are hoping to practice the quality over quantity rule, if you will.
- Reliability and consistency. In line with the first point, we are hoping that the writers we pick to join our team are serious about committing their time to this project and will have their work in on-time and ect.
- A love for all things cannabis & hemp, and the lifestyle we want to promote!
- A willingness to learn. We are looking to work one-on-one with our writers to coach them in writing for the web, SEO and other keyword related writing techniques, social bookmarking submission, and general promotion of themselves and their work. There is plenty to learn, and we hope you're ready and eager to work with us to strive for success; for all of us!
- ANY background experience in web marketing, SEO, article marketing, social bookmarking ect. is a huge asset and we would be thrilled to hear from you.
So, Do I Get Paid Or What!?
As much as we would love to compensate our contributors, at this time we are a passion project. Not to be fooled though, we have big plans and goals as far as monetization is concerned; both in the short-term and the long-term. Right now we want to find the right people who want to help us spread our message and fight to make a difference, however small it may be. We need to show the world that stoners are just like everyone else -- we enjoy the same things and we do the same things! So stop hatin'.
That being said, although right now we cannt compensate you for your contributions we expect that for the right candidates this will evolve into a paid position in the future. We would be happy to share our monetization plans/goals with the right people moving forward - but for now, trust in knowing, we know what we're doing! With a background in web marketing, SEO/SEM, emailing marketing, social network marketing and much more; we have the tools to deliver the message and now we just need the right people to help spread the voice.
With the right people and enough time we should have no trouble in establishing ourselves as an authority on the web. Right now, we can't offer you a fancy office or a big salary, sure, but what about this opportunity? It sounds fun, doesn't it?
