Never seen anything like it! If you do get it for 10 bucks though, I don't see where you could go wrong!

I'd try it out.

The only thing i see that could be a problem is that it says its 277v capable. Im not sure if that means it can be used with other voltages. IE 120v for a normal us house 240v for UK. I would look into if it can be wired to your current system and if not how much it would be to make that happen.

I currently have a thread asking if the contents of this like are what is needed and im pretty sure it is but no confirmation as of yet.

From what i can tell a light in total is lamp, ballast(transformer), capacitor, and for hps an ignighter as well as the lamp socket. and other then the socket i believe that has it all. Also on that site are "quad tap" which in this second link you can see has the ability to take 120/208/240/277 volts. Sorry kinda run on but in short id recommend waiting till you either get confirmation from a well informed individual or research till your satisfied hope i helped.
