I can get some 400w hps lowbay shop lights cheap. Will these work great for flowering?

Thanks.cool article I was happy as hell I got 2 400w hps multitap ballast shop lights for 60 bucks total. included 2 light bulbs and 15ft of cord for plugins to 277. just rewired them to 120 and rocking with 800w for less than $70. needless to say the girls are very happy!!!

ya they will work pretty much same as a 400w hps sold as a grow light.

the hoods might not be designed to center the light like a grow hood though.

I had one for years..payed $40 bux for it. Works just like a reg set up BUT not as efficient. Mine was running 480 watts to light a 400 wt lamp, and do yourself a favour and buy a $15 batwing shader, yul thak yurself later.

get yourself a couple of new bulbs even if you get the regular hps bulbs from home depot or lowes.
