ud be amazed at how many balllasts u can run with 220. not very difficult to do either if u have room in the service panel. my cap came for around 200 plus 20 dollars in 8 gauge wire and a double pole 40amp breaker from home de pot. anywhich way ur 1kers run at 10 amps and if u switch to 220 u slice the amperage in half, letting u run say up to 8 1kers on a single 40amp double pole breaker with amperage to spare. 1 timer, or dual timer to fire half the lamps in 1 room and the other timer to do the other room... pretty sweet really. very easy to install, since they prewire the box in the factory and u just feed her the romax wire from the new breaker. i hooked it up hot, but dont reccommend that.
I have been eyeing your set up, Now it finally clicks. You use 220 to save amprage. 8 thousand watts on a 40 watt is perfect.
