I wish I knew someone with either cause that would definitely make it easier, Ive been giving it some thought and doing it in smaller bits sounds way more easy all around I’m thinking that’s how I’ll do it, I need to get the bags setup where I’m gonna put em and then start bringing in wheel barrel loads of soil and get it goinDoing small batches individually would make it easier to ensure a proper and even mixture. If I was doing a really big batch, like a dump truck load I'd rent a bobcat for the weekend and use that. Or find a buddy with access to one and work out a trade. I don't envy you with way but the couple hundred for the bobcat or mini excavator would save a ton of time and back breaking work.
Where ya at? They don't call me Tree Beard for nuttin..I've been trying to find a tree guy that will trade for their labor to cut a few trees but everyone wants 6K to cut down a couple trees. I'll just keep growing indoors and hopefully I'll luck into someone. I'm not envying you with that much soil to mix, I bitch about doing 2 bags at a time. Hope it goes smoothly for you. You're going to have monsters in bags that size so it's worth it in the end, especially since I'm not the one with the shovel
That's crazy. I am not a fan of heights. I'm in the Blue Ridge mountains in VA. I keep hoping a windstorm will take a few out but it's never the ones I want. It's always one that lays across the power lines or across the damn driveway. You used to be able to find guys to clear property if they could keep the wood but those seem to be gone.Where ya at? 6k to cut some trees that’s crazy! I got ppl that cut em for free they also take em for firewood tooI've been trying to find a tree guy that will trade for their labor to cut a few trees but everyone wants 6K to cut down a couple trees. That’s crazy 8grand I’d never pay that to have a tree cut down, I’d go buy another chainsaw before I did that, but yeah Covid and meth sure has changed the way stuff is done sadlyCovid, opiates and meth have really changed the way stuff gets done unfortunately. The three guys with a truck crews that used to be common are now mostly big landscaping companies and larger tree companies. We had a guy price out a single tree at our lake house for 8 grand to cut and remove. It was a big tree and close to the house but it was a days work for about 4-5 guys. You're talking a whole different level of profit margins now.
These poly? Plastic bags work really well for me, I’m ready for em to be in the big bags Such a good movie, both of those!I've used those plastic grow bags before with good results. The plants must have heard you talking about the giant fabric pots you use and got excited. The first thing I thought of was a clip from Jaw's. For some reason that movie has been on my brain lately. Think I'll watch it and Apocalypse Now this week.
I still got so much I need to get doneView attachment 5275427Bring it on spring.
thats what i do if wether isnt good or the space in the polly tunnels are all used up with small plants waiting to go into the bedsSo it’s a pain in the ass trying to mix this big pile of soil I have plus it’s been rainy so it’s pretty much impossible to actually try and mix it I’ve noticed there is a lot of clay in it, idk if I should mix the pile or do smaller batches (mixing everything in the bags) like fill each bag with x amount and add everything to each bag evenly and mix it that way, cause doin it with a shovel in the big pile is 1 hell of a job, what do you all think I should do?
