Low odor genetics?

Hey, I will grow 1 plant in my family's house with a basic setup. I am open to your genetic advice that smells less without using a carbon filter. I have Jack Herer, Blue Dream, Sour Diesel and Northen Lights in mind. Do they smell too intense? My room is always ventilated, even if it smells in my room, it is not a problem. My fear is that the smell of it will spread throughout the house and never go away. Then my family will be disturbed. I will not do the drying process at home anyway. It smells much more intense when drying, so I won't make it at home.

What do you think? I will grow a single plant in my closet with a 40x40x120cm cabinet, 100w Mars Hydro TS600 Led. Do you think the whole house smells? Or can I somehow trap the smell in my room with little effort?

My family knows, my father allowed me to grow 1 plant without exaggeration. I try not to disturb them. A simple, unobtrusive setup in my closet. And a genetics with little smell. That's all.

Good luck idk how you will mask the smell all together without anybody noticing it and still do what you want to do to produce good smoke. Charcoal filters on exhaust febreeze strips and seal the room when you access the area to work with a fan exhausting out the window I mean you can do it but would definitely be noticeable

Well that changes things. All those strains have a fair odour. Look for low odour specific strains. In my experience they only come with chance. Some phenotypes produce very little smell. Seed stockers sherbet being one of them.

If no carbon filter. Use a jar of ONA gel and keep the window open. Best u can do

Well if your aloud to grow that’s different just add in a charcoal filter and you’ll be fine with smell not being over whelming.

It will smell half way through veg. If you have negative pressure in your room, then it probably isn't an issue. You will have to vent the air outside of the house, but then you run the risk of people smelling it outside. Carbon filter is mandatory.

I finished a Northern Lights #5 recently and it had a lot of odor. Im glad I have a carbon filter. A friend of mine has Blue Dream in early flower outside on his deck and when I went to his house yesterday I could smell them 30 feet away. I grew a Jack Herer auto last year and it was smelly.
Dont have any experience growing the others.

It’s cool that it’s ok with the folks. How close is the nearest neighbor, or public sidewalk? Would it be an issue if the grow space was vented out the window? It’s your best bet at keeping smell down to a minimum (which at minimum.. still stanks to hell lol) but it shouldn’t be as strong, but it won’t be gone.

We live on the top floor of a high residence. There are 2 windows in my room, when I open both of them, there is good air circulation. Also, I don't think my downstairs neighbors know the smell of this plant.

I think a fan running full time blowing out the window would be the way to go in this case, one that seals the whole window.

Sour diesel will stink like high hell..

Those plug-in air fresheners work wonders for me. I'm in a closet with gaps around the sliding doors and I've completely masked the smell...
