All my brief research in the matter in inconclusive.
There are many light nerds on the site here and maybe someone can put this to rest definitively.
I am bringing this up because I have an acquaintance with limited xp growing and he is set on LPS because he has access to a bunch and it has a high lumen output that is able to penetrate fog well. I told him I didnt think they are a good choice just as Halogen or Mercury Vapour are not either. I could explain Halogen and MV but I am at a loss as for why LPS is not good other than it does not seem to be popular. I like to be able to back up "advice" with facts, and I just dont have any for LPS.
Is there a man or woman out there well versed in the does and dont's of LPS?
