I hang whole plants in the basement when it's in the fifties set the dehumidifier to 60 percent RH. Takes a few weeks. Then I start trimming and they sit and turkey bags for another few weeks. I have yet to find anyone up here that has a product that is dried and cured as good as mine.

all the years ive been paranoid about it taking too long or taking too long to dry was for naught. im realy happy and shocked with the way they taste. its like dream bud tastes like. all the years ive smoked quick dried bud and harvested far too quickly too.
im going to leave the next lot to flower properly, ie , not harvest when there 50/50 or 80/20 red/brown to white hairs, but get a loupe and wait for the colour change. im into bad habbits from the biker who taught me how to grow all those years ago. just wish i had some of the mexican and tai seeds from way back then. id love to grow them out properly.
I like to wait a long time, both for harvest and hanging. If you grow it right and dry it slow with the right humidity it will not get over dry. The only time I've seen over dry bud was when it was picked too soon, dried to fast at high heat and low humidity, or both

I like hanging the whole plant as well, when they will fit. If they are to big for that I still like to hang as much of each each branch that will fit. And yeah, I like the humidity up into the 60-65% range too.
