Lower light hours before harvest?

I just need to verify that tri-chromes are the crystals on the leaves and bud material, and pistils are the whit hairs, and not to harvest by looking at the color of hairs? They are turning fast. I never got this deep into this as to identify the anatomy of the plant.

Cut light hours back by 15-30 min every other day from the point at which you decide to flush. So if you flush for 10 days, by the last day you have only cut back an hour and fifteen mins up to two and a half hours. You will also want to leave the plant in the dark for 24 hours on the last day prior to processing it.
These two practices have served me well for the last 10 years.

the leaving it in the dark is a total myth and shouldn't be paiod attention to, if only to do the experiment yourself as i have.

for this you'll need two cuttings from the same mother. put one in the dark and leave the other as normal.

be it 5 days 72 hours or 1 day that plant in the dark is not going to create extra mature trichs. i've heard people say they produce extra resin and are stickier but thats a load of shit too. fact is its not gonna kill them, they wont hermie in time to produce sacs and then fill them with pollen and open in that timescale either. the plants already having its reaction to the the lack of light in that its producing buds. it needs light to do this so i see no need to hide them from the light.

again, no real difference achieved by putting them in the dark
