First time grower, lookking for some input on my plant. i think it has grown pretty good considering the setup and the cfl lights i used. Im at day 70 with the plant. any other growers try this strain how long did you wait. please comment! the first two are the most recent i took today. im also wondering if i should cut any the big fan leaves that are dying and getting crispyIMG-20120726-00380.jpgDAay 70.jpgDAY 70.jpgDAyy 70.jpgIMG-20120726-00374.jpgIMG-20120726-00375.jpgIMG-20120726-00376.jpgIMG-20120726-00377.jpgIMG-20120726-00378.jpg

almost ready, get a handheld 80x LED microscope, i got one for 9.99 its amazing. u need one to check for milky trichs, but yeah, they are almost done but you really wanna get the close up view to get best psychoactive content in the crystals

my lowryder#2 matures really fast, but you could have another week left. maybe a week and a half, like i said, check the ratio of clear/milky/amber trichs to know for sure. if u cant get one then u wanna wait till around 80% of the hairs are orange, but thats jus guessing really

2 weeks and change. NEVER harvest according to milky trichomes. The true test is a BRIX meter, which measures sugar content in leaves.

That seems even less accurate :/ I would imagine that leave sugar level will drop when a plant is coming to harvest but from what ive read, its no way more accurate than by checking trichs, coz cloudy trichs mean psychoactive content. Sugars in elaves just means how much sugar is in the leaves. PLus autoflowers (or at least some autos) tend to keep deep green leaves even when optimally ripe, as opposed to photo strains which really die off to harvest. thats jus what i know anyway, im no pro but it doesnt seem like a more accurate method than trich ratios at all

Wtf are you smoking... i wouldnt say NEVER harvest according to milky trichs bro. Almost every experienced grower will or has determine harvest time by looking for milky trichomes. I mean its all good if you have a different way of determining harvest but not everyone has a magical BRIX meter. To say not to look for milky trichs is just plain wrong and anyone who follows that advice needs some serious help. Please dont spread misguided info to inexperienced growers. Dont mean no disrespect... just want to set the record straight.

Why does everyone seem to rush to the chop? Unless the trichs are exactly where you want them, let her grow.

I've seen plants where nearly EVERY fan leaf ( and alot of sugar leaves ) was stone cold dead yet the buds were STILL expanding.

Don't chop early, have some patience.

they have at least doubled size in the last week. im using weak lighting so i know there not gunna be as fat as they could be i know my trichs are starting to go amber so its close.im not going by how fat the buds are cuz i know they wont be the fattest possible. im watch them trichs

I read somewhere that the pistils should turn color and recede into the calyxes as a sign of optimal ripeness. I am still seeing some pistils so I want to say let it mature a little more, however I am not claiming this to be the cold hard truth or anything, heh. You could probably harvest now and have enough psycjoactive material on the plant to get you feeling toasty, not certain if it would necessarily be the optimal time though.
