thanks, i just might do that, i should go out there and check some of them out for that. (topping)
does it slow the growth? can i top them while they are budding? (they are budding...) can i smoke the part i chopp off!!!?? hahah! i've been yearning to try this stuff.

ALSO, I CANT TELL WHICH ONES ARE LR2 AND REG LR1, this is why i needed to just order LR2, since they yield more, and are more potent... big mistake on my part!! :s

do LR 2 have fatter leaves? cause i have 2 different kinds it seems, only a couple fatter leaved plants, with many skinnier leaved plants.. either way im mating all of them i think so far, cause yield isnt gonna be enough to sell for profit to buy books for college!! lol.looks like i need that loan.

actually i'm not sure which would be which and what week are they in? if they are only in their 4th then i would top them and it would take just take maybe 2 days befor you see to tip instead of one. that way it will you like a big "Y" looking tree bud. i top my sativa plant now it have6 tips instead of just 2 like it was in the beginning. and my indica plant i am going to wait till i get back from my trip to Santa Fe, NM to pick me up a zip of medicinal MJ. can't wait. but i digress. give it a try and tell me how it goes/show a pic. p.s. good luck

I'd be a little apprehensive on topping an auto while in flower...I feel this would stunt its growth...they flower alot quicker and shorter than normal flowering plants.

yeah i went out there and looked at them, I :

A: inspected the plants based on you guys info to see if topping them is practical, and decided that its not good time, stunting will interfere with my plant harvest. instead i will LST one of them, i found a nice LR2 that has some seeds (YAY!!) growing on the buds bases, which would upset some, but i love LR2, and want to grow it forever.. i know that its LR2 based on i have one male LR2 in the garden(only one male!!, and this particular female is a LR2 so breeding is prefered between them. but anyways, i LSTed her, looooking good!! :)
this is what i did to them::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
1- gave the alaskan fish emulsion ferts, 2-3-1
2- secured the fence around the plants, good, so that the fish stuff doesnt attract any scummy animals(will it??? does anyone know??)
3- foliar fed them with BONIDE tomato & blossom set spray 'speeds harvest'
4- cleaned around the site just to respect the woods
5- LSTed one of the plants, it is the largest, and budding is doing considerably AWESOME on it, i need some pictures!!
6- layed down 3 pounds of SLUG AND SNAIL KILLER, brand : BUG-GETA by ORTHO



SUMARRY, i am glad with my grow so far, even with all the catastrophies outdoors brings... i have 8 decent females, and 11 all together females + 1 male LR2. i know that i am not getting nearly as much as i wanted, but am happy with the results so far, i understand that i do not have all LR2 plants, but a variety, and dont care too much.. the buds are coming in nicely, and it seems that they just started really, REALLY soaring in growth, which is exciting. im in my 5th week. i know 8 weeks is impractical, but 11 will be closer, which will be in 7 weeks from now, and still is earlier than all my friends. i knew around the 11 week time period was what i was looking at from the start so thats not a disapointment at all.

QUESTIONS : (if you know the answer, please answer with details, i like to know why and how... thank you soooo much!!)
1 - will the fish emulsion stuff attract unwanted animals like dogs, or wolfs or badgers or w.e ?
2- since i left a male in there if i remove it this weekend, will being pollinated affect all of the marijuana plants buds from now on?
3 - i layed down alot of the slug killer stuff, will that wash away with rainfall?

Hey Axis...glad to hear everything is growing alright. I also appreciate you taking some extra time to clean up the surrounding areas to respect nature. This, and also, you don't want to attract any attention to the grow area with human refuse.
1: There is potential of the fish fert attracting varmints...racoons, opposums and skunks more than likely. This sucks because they'll dig around the area they smell decaying matter, but to find nothing! So there is potential of loss. But if you took appropriate measures like poultry wire around your grow then you should be safe. Works for me!
2: Yes, to answer your question to #2. You're essentially doing what seed banks in Europe do. They leave a high selected male to pollenate selected females which both parents display high quality genetics. Thus, the inherant genes are crossed and passed to the next generation progeny attaining both prevailent characteristics.
3: On the label for the Bug Geta by Ortho, it should have application rates/amounts.
If I recall correctly, it stipulates to apply at a frequency of once every 3 weeks. Although, I have sprinkled twice in the past week and a half/two weeks. I still notice death to slugs long after the pellets aren't noticable. I've even cultivated my garden and haven't seen any slug bastards.
I know my response was lengthy, but I hope this advice helps.

but hey thanks for all the answers to the questions, its a problem that the fish stuff will attract other animals, so i went in there with this stuff... REPEL ALL(15$ a bottle!! daaammn) is the name, i sprayed it under everything that would protect it from the rain, so that way when it does(it rains a TON) rain, it wont all be washed away... i also took soap and broke it up and spread it around the location... i am not taking any chances with this last batch, in fact i want to reinforce that poultry wire with more sticks and such... do me a favor and send a link here so i can follow your grow ops, the word automatic in any strain name of MJ makes me interested... gotta love these autos, they ROCK. my buds are bigger than my friends buds! oh wait, they dont even have buds yet!! hahaha!! im so mean.. :)

i am keeping pest away all organic. you eggshells and crumble them up and put them around your plants. it helps keep ants and eny other bug that crawls away from your plants and plant garlic cloves around your plants so that it keep's away any flying bugs, and also plant where their is alot of mosquito's it tends to keep some other bugs away to. it's been diong great for me. my plants hardly get bugs. and their ones that don't do any damage.

yeah, i wanted to do organic pest control, but after i saw what those slugs and snails did to the plants, it was on... chemical warfare way to QUICKLY and easily kill those chumps... next time i will plant those extra plants around and keep it pretty.

Do not top it. It will reduce your yield!! I tried it this year just for fun and it will not give you more yield! The one i topped reached 10 inches and the ones i did not top are about 2 feet so you do the math.

definitely, its nice knowing other enthusiastic growers, i will go check it out!

AND i bought more of the slug killer stuff, so i sprayed it in a 50 foot radius around the grow site, THIS MEANS WAR!!! haha... i love chemical warfare versus bugs(not humans, or animals of coarse just bugs!!) and everything is good, the varmints havent come by yet! :)

i was worried that harvest wouldnt take 9 weeks, but i am in my almost 6th week, with 3 more to go, and the buds are coming along so well, its amazing... i cant figure out what the plants are though!! the lowryder mix is throwing me off terribly. i guess i will wait to find out at the end with the smoke report. im gonna have alot of smoking to do!! theres like 5 different kinds i can visibly tell(cant tell which is which though :) ... ) either way, im not gonna have anywhere as much as the package touts, but im still happy as can be. i love these plants

going up there to take pictures at 5 PM, so will upload them later!! COME BACK AND LOOK :)!!!!

ok guys, really bad news!!! NO PICS... i was on my way to my garden, parked at my friends to stay there, when my cadillac CTS started smoking!! i had to take the engine all apart an find out why, apparantly i have a leak coming from the power steering pump :s ... it set me back so i missed my window to get into the garden... but i will 2morrow, so please forgive my predictions, i am usually very reliable, i just didnt have a ride to the site... i will tomorrow for sure, ok? thanks guys. cya

WEEK 6, give me a yield prediction...
ok here are the pics!! growth is not slower, just smaller than other grows i have seen so far.. i can see theres like 4 different kinds of plants. hopefully you guys can identify this..

the pic with my hand in it, that flower seems to have a blueish haze to it, i think its just the way the leaves are colored.

, so i got pollen from some of my LR2's at home and pollenated some of these little guys with it, the pollen is in the bag with the paint brush in it.. those are male flowers. some were really popping open and dry pollen fluffed out.

i also clipped some of the leaves off, i dont know if that is ok, but i did it... let me know about that as well..
