LST and clones?

I've been using LST and I basicly understand the shift in growth hormones that take place but I'm wondering how this will affect taking clones. Do the oldest hormones still collect in the branchings nearest the base or do they alter to where the lowest branches on the now verticle branches are best? I generally read that the "oldest" hormones are in the lower branches and that is why one should take cutting there but I've often wondered if in fact this isn't more of a matter of concentration of hormones. By shifting the growth pattern to produce more tips has one also altered the prime area for taking cuttings/clones?

I have an answer. I LST and about 2 weeks ago i decided to take clones from my 2+ month old plants, still in veg. I took clones from the nodes that were closest to the roots.
Of the 7 clones i took, all rooted in a week.

as I understand it, cuttings from lower hormone areas should take longer to root. I'm not much of a cloner yet.

From what i have read, the newest sprouts are the hardest to clone and the oldest ones (the ones closest to the roots) are the easiest.

I have also heard that cloning a flowering plant is very hard. I dont know because when i tried, i was a confirmed clone killer. I may try it again now that i know what im doing.

a lot of people clone the first or second week of flowering because of the lower N levels when in bloom. thats why they say to drop N levels before you take cuttings, makes them root faster :-)

Lower N makes cloning easier. Interesting. All my clones were taken a good week before flowering and i use high N nutes for veg and i have roots like i have never seen before. Not even in pictures that show you how to clone.

I also wet the soil with diluted hydrogen peroxide.
