LST *and* scrog?

So I've been lightly LST-ing my plants, I say lightly because I did a bit early on and haven't done much since then. I broke two stems (mercifully they have continued growing with a bit of electrical tape round them).

They are due to go into 12/12 next week, can I put a screen above them now or is it too late? Do I train the tops through the screen or just put the screen immediately above the highest tops and train it as the flowers grow?

PS It's my first grow so my first instinct was to let them grow relatively naturally to observe the process, but space is becoming an issue and I don't want to stop vegging them just yet.

Oh and one more question, is there an ideal height to have the screen at? Or should I just put it at the current height of the top of the plant?

Scrog Is a form of lst and if u broke ur stem sounds like u super croppin lol and if u wanted to scrog u do it in veg and make a mat under the screen if I was u id just string it up when ur buds get top heavy

Thanks for the advice dude. I've done a bit of LST, a bit of supercropping, but the latest snap came when I was reaching into another branch to LST it and my clumsy hand knocked a branch and it snapped.

I may well just do that (string buds up) but I'm undecided as yet. I am still in veg, so I guess there is still time for me to put up a screen. If I do, do I put it in so it is ever so slightly pushing down on the canopy?

you can get the same affect with lst as you can when you scrog but with out the screen buds swell and fall over lots of tieing up branches. while a screen will hold the entire cannopy. but once you screen it and 12/12 it its there for good. I like having access to my plants and i like to be able to move them. And yes if your still in veg lay the screen ever so slighly over the top of the plants.put any high branches under screen filling in mt spaces. come back day after day tucking under anything popping up. again towards the mt spaces. flip to 12 when 3/4 of screen is full coninue training for the 21 day stretch. then lollipop everything below the screen beggening of week 4 flower.

Should I:

a) keep the tape in place permanently
b) occasionally carefully change it to allow for stem thickening
c) remove the tape after a certain amount of time?

Presume keep tape in place permanently if they don't heal? Or give up on the branches, rip em off and wait for new growth? I'd rather not do that if I don't have to as I'm about to flip to 12/12

After a week or 2 u could take the tape off, wherever the branches broke, will form a big knuckle and allow more nutes and water to flow thru to the tip of the branch aka supercropping. I once topped a plant and tied down both tops away from eachother and the next day i went to check on it the plant was split right down the middle of the main stalk. A little bit of electrical tape and we were back in business.
