LST - did I do it right?

Heyy.

So I've been doing a micro grow in a crate with cfls using three bagseeds.

They're at day 20, one turned out to be an autoflowerer, the other two are still vegging.

I've got them on an 18/6 at 74F.

Today I decided to LST them with cotton/polyblend string. Did I do it right?

I made slip knots and looped the bottom of the base and one under the top node, and stretched the plant in opposite directions and tied it off.

Any advice? Thanks!!!

Im not really sure what your doing there but IMO your plants are too small to train right now. I waited until my plants could reach the side of my pot before i started training them

I would agree they're kind of small to start training. One suggestion I would make is to stay away from using knots. It won't give it a lot of wiggle room when it starts to grow taller and thicker. You can get away with using twist ties or something like that and shape one end into hook so the stalk won't get choked out.

Right on, thanks for the answers. I was pretty convinced that they were too small, but my grow cab is 17inches tall, more like 10 inches considering the pots they're in. And some pc growers I've been bugging said I should've LST'd a while ago. So I figured this would be a good compromise, ha ha. How tall should they be.

Annd, would it stress them out too much to untie them again. I feel like I pissed em off just by tying them down already.

And I made slip knots that sat loosely around the stem, so I wouldn't choke them (tried to do it the way I was tought to tie up sweet peas).

i use metal hooks to tie them down... Mine are about 12" before i started training them. ....You dont want them to big becasue the stems will be to big and break when you bend them. Id untie them and let um grow another 6 inches atleast
