Lst help needed

Ok I'm starting to low stress train my plant. I have anchored the stem staked the top down with a piece of cut clothes hanger. My question is can I cut 2 of the fan leaves that are now covering the nodes that I'm trying to expose to more light or should I just leave it be?

Depends how many fan leaves you have on the plant. Pruning is good but take into account the fan leaves are the solar panels. I agree I need to see a pic to be able to advise.

Yes it will be ok to cut two fan leaves to expose new nodes don’t over do it or you will be back for help lol

Thanks, I didn't even want to cut those two leaves, I would bend them a little and that would work for minute but they would just go right back over. So I removed those two, and there plenty of new and old growth soaking up the beams so I should be ok

That's a good question I have been wondering the same thing.

I just started mine on my grow and have some amazing results with some folding fan leafs down and others I can't control the fan leafs.

Are you growing autos as I am, if so would the answer to the question still be the same. I have seen people saying not to defoliate autos at all.

I try to defoliate as little as possible. Those leaves are how the plant breathes, taking them off is literally like cutting out the lungs of your plant. It's not too hard to pull them out of the way or do what I said which is to pull the leaves down and tape them to the side of the pot.

I'm sure there are conflicting views and methods ppl employ but I still think cutting your plants lungs off unless you have a specific reason (eg. lollipoping) isn't a great idea.
