LST or Topping?

I have to choose one method but I have not tried either of them yet. Which seems to be the best for keeping the plants to more of a bush? I have about 4 feet of room that I need to make the most of!

I think topping is for males only, too brutal for the main cola of a female. Lst if you need to, later on is ok just don't break the stem.

your wrong mate you can a top a plant when the 5th set of leaves have come through from seed then this will give you 2 colas top those 2 and you'll have 4 and so on but they won't be as big as the original cola so only top a couple of times if your going to.you wont know the sex until you put them into flower

So I have 4ft to work with which means I should start flowering when the plant reaches....2ft?

If you have a lot of plants topping is easier if you start them young because its a set it and forget it method. LST you will be constantly playing with strings to retie as they grow I have 8 WW LST right now and it is truly time consuming to maintain.
