I have some super slow veggers that I LSTed and only two responded well. I let the other two off the tie down. On one of the plants I left tied down I ended up accidentally breaking the original top off. It then proceeded to grow/bush out extremely well with little to no shock after my mistake. About 5 or 6 new "tops" started growing out very fast. One side branch from the bottom of the plant grew a whole foot even, in like a week, which is 10x faster than these plants grow when left alone.
Has anyone ever tried this on purpose? Tie the top down, keep tying it down, let about 4-8 side branches turn up, then break the original top off? or pinch it even? Or try with this with an already topped plant(kinda sounds counterproductive from that state though)? Growth accelerated so much it was cool too see. I started flowering a week ago due to kind of having a time constraint and I dont need much bud, but we'll see if those tops produce more than little nugs. I know if I let them grow longer I would've had 6 prime tops to flower.
