How would I go by doing it properly mate? Dont want to mess it up as I have never done it before

Your'e just bending branches, right? Start when the branches are long enough to tie down. When I say start "now" I meant start as soon as your'e able to tie branches down. Theres plenty of LST How-To threads that can help you better than I can.
