lucas formula Q:?

Hey rkymtnman,

I looked up those growstones on amazon-----looks like the same as hydroton?

Read about that powder "Lucas formula". It says best mixed with 105F water-----sounds like a tea to be mixed in rez.

@Alaric
sorry, didn't see this earlier. nope, growstones are recycled glass (mostly) and hydroton is the expanded clay.
and to the powder mixing, i've never heard of having to mix at 105F. you might be right about a tea concoction.

Sup rocky mountain man,

Thanks for that explanation.

Do you recommend the growstones instead of hydroton? (not that I plan on using either one)

That 105F came from reading their documentation-----which leads me to suspect it's a tea that's mixed with water.

Long time ago I tried some American Hydroponics dry nutes mix that was mixed with warm water then added with water-----just more trouble than was worth (lazy).

not much? how bout you? how's 2016 treating you?

if this chart is correct, growstones are superior to almost any other medium. you are medium-less if i remember correctly?
they are easy to re-use too which is nice.

the only other reason i thought to mix at 105F is maybe to make it dissolve most completely vs room temp water? your guess is as good as mine.

You can pretty much start flowering any time you want. I don't even hardly do a veg. It will effect your yield tho to not veg. It's a balancing act according to your own goals. Fast or more? I'm not really impressed by the roots on that thing tho. There should be more I think, but I'm certainly not an expert on DWC. I mostly just do hempy so I don't have to hassle with all the maintenance of hydro. I'm kinda lazy. Anyway, maybe someone else will chime in. Other that it looks ok. A little stretchy but that's probably the genes. I like short bushes but, it's been a while since I had one of those. I like the structure ok that one too. Note the even internode spacing. Anyway, bump for the dro guys to chime in. Peace and love brother.

I would just take it easy on it as it recovers. It's probably stunted at the roots. I've never transplanted like that so I honestly don't know. Good luck brother.

yesh that why i topped it cause it was just way to big so now im going too veg it for a lil bit longer and then swap to flower mode

that box its in is a 18x18x48in the bucket takes alot of room and then my cheap lights takes up lil head room so i have some stretching

room but not much and this strain is a sativa dom so its going to stretch up there if i let it...ill make sure to keep updated on it ever time i rez change

Don't cut corners on air pumps and air stones. Very important in dwc.
