Lucid Dreaming

Im not sure how exactly to start this thread other than to ask about specific experiences of lucid dreaming. (where you realize that you are dreaming and are able to control what happens in your dream. aka flying, super powers, etc)

I've realized I was dreaming like once or twice.

but since a child ive always dreamed a surreal but logical atmosphere... it's like going to sleep and then being awake for moments between blurry transitions

And meh, I won't be practicing or aspiring to achieve such. It's a nice concept but I'll control my own real world reality to make it as pleasant as a lucid world I dream of

I suffer from Sleeping Disorders and my dreams that I can recollect are always lucid . I don't dream outside of this state too often and I do not reach the REM stage of sleep . But when I do and can recall , it seems to be insane lol

I think once when I was little. I was having a nightmare, being chased by a scary clown. Ya know, when it feels like you are running in slow motion but the motherfucker chasing you isn't? I realized it was a dream and made myself wake up.

I can't seem to recall any dreams really anymore. I can't imagine why? :blsmoke:

If my short term memory is working at all , there was a thread recently posted about this very same subject haha
I too recall very little dreams and commented about dream journals and training ones mind to awaken upon dreams for recording what will be otherwise forgotten , deleted so to say .

I take sleeping pills they make me dream awful things and I can remember most of them, and I often dream and know i'm dreaming and try to control whats happening, its very weird. The worst is when you are really enjoying your dream and someone wakes you up, I've even tried getting back into the dream I was woken up from but it doesn't work:-(

you can make yourself lucid dream. you have to be disciplined and work at it, but you can do it with enough effort.

i once did this some 7 or 8 years ago. it took months, and i kept track of my dreams and maintained very specific sleep hygiene. at first, it seemed hopeless. before too long, i was aware of when i was dreaming but really unable to control the dreams like i wanted. soon enough, i could make anything i want happen in my dreams.

lately though, i've been dreaming that i do stuff that i haven't. i can't tell you how many times i have fed the chickens in my sleep only to wake up and realize that i have not fed the chickens, i just dreamed it. it's kinda weird.

all i know is when im smoking, i rarely recall my dreams, i smoke a LOT and since MJ suppresses dreams, i'm guessing thats why. all i know is that if I take a break from MJ for more than 2 weeks, my dreams start getting wildly intense and crazy. as soon a i start smoking again, poof! they are gone.

so i guess in a way i can control my dreams haha
