Lucky day free meds for Vets monthly at local dispensary

Like the title says..Im a Vet and for some reason today the lady at the dispensary asked if used to be in the military and I said yes..She then asked if I had proof..Boom I pulled out my VA ID card and she said we just started this thing for Vets..We are giving a free quarter every month for Vets..So on the 13th of every month I get a free quarter..This made my day...I used to go to a different dispensary that had "Veterans Preference"..So I asked what is and the asshole behind the counter (to get a good visual reference he looks like the comic book store guy from the Simpsons) says u dont pay tax..I replied I never payed tax for my meds here so he was like umm...umm...u just get front of the line priveleges..yeah and just my luck no one was there...Im guessing he was feeling cheap..But anyways do u guys know of any dispensaries or collectives that hook up Vets? I feel like dispensaries should show more love to the Vets..What do you think

I am not in cali, so I don't have access to the med clubs, but I love the idea of hooking vets up. I have a cousin that was close to me that died serving in iraq. I am always proud of those who have served our country, cause I know I am not out there doing it. Congrats on the free meds every month.

Thats cool they are hooking you up with some free meds, hook them up by telling your friends to buy from them.

Good for them! (the dispensary I mean) That's a great thing they're doing. I wish more places would honor our vets.

In all seriousness I appreciate what you did for our country. I'd personally shake your hand if I could. I say thank you to all vets I see. War or not...sacrifice is sacrifice. From the bottom of my heart thank you. Hell only a free quarter? Should be a free weekly ounce...cause you know that stoner hippie is all love not war behind the counter....the least he could do.

thanks for the apperciation guys. I really thought it was kinda weird when people use to tell me thank you. I just never seem to see the extent of what I did...It just sucks because ive been looking for a job for over a year now and no one will hire me. really i thought me being a veteran and also very knowledgeable....I got turned down at an interview because I had gotten a DUI over a year and a half ago. and the other two guys that were interviewed were not as qualified as me.

Yeah man i never used my VA card untill the last 2 veterns day at chillis...I remember last year a veteran or active member could have any entree for free..this year they had a seperate menu which was mediocre...cant really complain since its free..
