LumiGrow ES + HPS Hybrid Test

its time for another round of testing. this time i have 2 ES units intermixed with 3 1000w HPS units. the center bed is getting complete coverage, while the other plants under the HPS are getting half.

for this round i have several strains going. Blue Dream, Purple Berry Diesel, Mendo Purps x Afghooey, and Purple Rain. THIS IS A MEDICAL CO-OP GROW WITH SEVERAL RECOMMENDATIONS. just thought i would throw that out there.

these girls have only been vegging for 1 week. i will be turning them down to 12/12 very shortly. lets have some pics.....

i added another 4x4' bed, and threw up a 600w HPS. i also threw in a 3rd LumiGrow ES. so now the center bed is getting LED coverage from 3 seperate points. the plants under the 600w are in 3.5 gal square pots. this is some impressive shit. you really have to be here in person to see how this shit looks. pictures do no justice, but they will have to do, hehe. enough with the talk, lets have some pics......

the LED units are 30" from the canopy. at this distance, they almost cover all the plants. i will bring them down with the HPS as they get further into flower. saturday marks 1 week.

Wow calibuddz, this is definitely impressive! I normally lurk on these forums and read tons of the information available and try to further improve my grow, so normally I don't post but seeing this definitely makes me want to!

You have taken LED and HPS lighting to the next level! I don't know why most of the hps users aren't trying LEDs as supplemental lighting like you are..but anyways, you're babies look wonderful and I'll definitely be watching this throughout the grow

Best of luck with this setup! After seeing the results from the last test you ran I'm sure this is going to be some stellar stuff!

Definitely got it goin' on calibuddz, I'm sure most people are like me...ENVIOUS!

2 WEEK FLOWER UPDATE!

i didnt take pics for the 1 week update because i was out of town for a few days. these girls are doing extremely well. i was in shock when i came back. the growth is INSANE! lets have some pics....

the left side. the Blue Dream and PBD have grown way too big, way too fast, hehehe. its all good though. they have grown about 6" since i last saw them.

here is the only dead spot under the center HPS. if i only had one more LumiGrow, hehe. no matter, these beds get a quarter turn daily. so there is complete uniform coverage.

the beds are on wheels, so i can spin them and move them around as needed. for watering, i use a 35 gal trash bin with a little giant pump and hose/wand attachment. i need a bigger hose though, so i can get to all my veg plants in the next room. for nutes i am using Cutting Edge Solutions, 3 part, Micro Grow Bloom.

Wow, they're just absolutely looking fabulous! Do you think the LED complimenting the HPS is a good idea or would they be just as good as HPS by itself?

Oh and how far into flowering are these?

thanks for the good words.

this has got to be the best growth i have ever seen under an HPS. the way they are stacking is just amazing. i am very happy with what i am seeing.

they are 3 weeks into flower.

Simply amazing, I think you might be onto something with the combination of HPS and LED, they truly are a work of art

Ahh how wonderful nature can be sometimes another question, have you ever tried an outdoor grow? I wonder how your light setup compares to the sun, only reason I ask.
