This is why I run extra cobs at lower driver current!!depends on your setup. if youre not space limited, 6.5% more PPFD at a given wattage should yield about 6% more product... every 2-3 mos. adds up quick.
also that graph kinda assumes temps are similar. if you were using the same cooler for both setups you might have as much as an 8%+ advantage as the cob at 50W would run a little hotter
I have been going back and forth between 4 cobs or 6. After your feedback i will go with six. You are absolutely correct that if i can get that higher efficiency translated into more flowers it will pay off in the long run. There have been occasions in the past few years where for health and other familial obligations i only get one to two grows a year. Not to clutter up the thread, but you've got to hand it to CobKits for not just coming heer to sell shit, but really putting in incredible work to help us make truly informed decisions. If the setup becomes more efficient, obviously a plus. I'm sure when you're running hot, you'll gain from cooling, but if it's already cool, running cooler I won't imagine will help.

I'm actually thinking I just won't bother with the fans, and just get 2 Honeywell ht-900's on low for really good airflow. I'll have one mounted above the canopy, and one below on opposite sides for kinda a tornado effect.
Grow room won't be sealed but it is in a closet, so it should still passively exchange air from the surrounding rooms I'm thinking? I don't want to deprive CO2.

Looked at the Honeywell HT-900, Which is cheap and works well, but then I saw the Dyson AM06, and it uses a fraction of the power while being quieter and moves more air.
One being $15, the other $300. There a better compromise? Would 2 Noctua 3000rpm NF-A14's PC fans be more efficient?
