Here's a shot for reference.

The branch I pinned down for this demo is about two and half feet give or take.

20140627_082207.jpg

Here's that branch: just look at those secondary branches!

20140627_080942.jpg

6 to 7 inches of cable I use.

20140627_080900.jpg

I'm going to have to use two cables per branch, because they've out grown the use of one. For now I placed on further down the stalk. The other will be placed closer to the top.

You can see that one is needed closer to the top in this pic.

Nice plants, looks like a couple got some super sativa genetics. Good luck with the rest if the grow. Going to be getting hot again here pretty soon.

Yeah, I really wish I knew what strain they are. Thanks! I'm hoping these go smoothly these next couple of months. These plants are pushing 8 months old. We are looking at 100 degree temps at the start of this upcoming week. It's been real windy 10+ mph. She stood through it like a champ. I'm starting to be concerned about support. You see she's popping out pre-flowers. Shouldn't plants be capable of supporting themselves?

Thanks bro. I will train some plants like that one of these days. Maybe after the next batch. For plant/bud support look into horti-trellis netting. You can use it to train throuh as well. Like an outdoor scrog. When I train plants I use trellis netting as support I place it above the plant 12 inches when they start the flowering stretch.

Once the branches start turning to wood the cables aren't strong enough to kept them down. The cables worked great to beef up the stems. I've placed chicken wire and some wooden branches on the plant to keep them low to the ground. These branches are sturdy as fuck, being able to hold up the weight of the wooden sticks.

I had to stand back 7 ft just to get the whole plant into frame!

My favorite plant is about 5 ft now. My girl is about 5'3".

My plan is to remove the restricters once a week to allow the branches to stretch back up towards the sky. There not going to be on the plant permanently. I'll post some pictures in a couple of days, showing that plant at this full stretch.

That 5 footer is just gorgeous dude! Looks healthy as FUCK.

I really dig seeing those HUGE ass thin sativa leaves, and look forward to seeing her flower up!

More positive waves to you and your grow.

Looking pretty great mane. Nice and bushy.
Thought I'd stop by and show you my tomato plants.. not as big as yours but finally catching up. The weather has been damn near perfect for about a week now and it seems as if they've doubled in size and it has a shitload of blooms.

Looking good @mhz ....keep up the good work bro. The main hub on that plant looks sick bro.

Me and the wife are harvesting tomatoes now. Not very large this year because they were planted in a thick clay soil area. I am going to do ALOT of soil amending this winter though. Should be nice and rich by spring.

I also have a beautiful pure indica Afghan Special clone. Thanks! Can never have enough positivity. I'm getting impatient; I want these plants to hurry up and flower already! They're 8 months old.

Awesome! Thanks for stopping by with an update on your tomato plants! Shoot with 50 plants you'll have plenty of fruits in no time.

Thanks, Fresno. I'm just watering and feeding bat guano tea every couple of days. I've been slacking on the route, because its just too damn hot outside to do it. I've probably harvested 3Ibs of tomatoes so far. The damn plant grew too large and bent the tomato cage, so now the plant is invading the strawberry patch that's next to it. I'm going to have a lot of compost to amend my soil in the fall as well. We got a few trees that drop a shit ton of leaves.

Her hair actually turned green from the pool chemicals...

anyways, just wanted to show off their progress.

I removed the restraints to allow it to stretch towards the sky.

It seems to have new leaf development from the node region...has anyone seen this occur in their plants...is it a male?

Here's a cleaner shot...

I pruned a shit ton of the larger fan leaves, but she's still a bushy beast (nearly as tall as I am.)

Thanks, Boss.
I'm planning on growing in this fashion next season. I'm pretty sure that plant is going to end up being a male.
