Because I'm trying to develop a new biological grow light. LEDs are cool and all, but fireflies produce no heat when they light up. So aside from free light, I also won't even need an AC. I'm not sure how to get them to turn off during the night cycle, but I'm working on it.

Should work as long as you get the correct spectrum fire flys.

It would be cool if the they were powerful enough and lit up consistently. Imagine lights that walked around and lit up on the surface of the leaf instead of from a fixture hanging above. This needs to be mimicked by some sort of tiny bots.

Not my style at all, I got thick skin being an oilfield guy. Also anyone who ever said every grow they ever did went perfectly is full of shit.
All in all though it was a pretty good first run. But definitely a steep learning curve. Some modifications in technique and room design will be implemented for the next run in August.

Do you mind sharing what lights those are? I love that setup.Here are all of my bonsai mothers. I have 40 now I think. From here on out I'm going to rerun them and slim down the numbers.

The never ending fireworks are fucking up my dog. He has laid around all day the past two days after being freaked out for hours straight every night. At first he didn't really mind them, but now he's trying to hide under tables or climbing on me. Poor guy. Mortar after mortar. We are basically living in a simulated war zone.

My dog used to do this until I got a bag of freeze dried chicken livers. Every time the fireworks went off I got excited and gave her treat's. Now she attributes fireworks to treats and she gets excited. This took a couple years to accomplish though.
