@johnsmith1010 I am keeping organic. So I dont think any chemical 12 part nutes. Thanks for recommending the book. I am interested in Hydro, but THIS is an organic soil grow...?

Thanks for informing about the light being too much, confirming in agreement with others.

When I designed my room I thought that 50 watts of Quantum Boards were fine and correct. But now I see that is incorrect. Right? That would be for HPS/MH????? OOPS!!!

Exactly. These boards are powerful. I've overdone it too. They stop growing, develop skinny leaves, and are not happy. I'm actually shocked at how little QB light they need.

They can adjust to a certain intensity up to a point, and then it's downhill from there.
Almost like they are trying to adjust their attire for the weather.

It doesnt sound like you have got a handle on the lighting.

It starts low, 7.5k to 10k, and is gradually raised. It depends if you train them...if not they will take more light faster. If you do it takes longer for them to use more light.

Lighting is not a race, gradually increase throughout veg and if needed into flower to reach max. For example, im at 50 to 65k and am on day 4 of flower. But a week ago it was more like 35 to 40k. Why? Because 18/6 and 12/12 have different paths to the DLI. I.e. after 18 hours of 40k, they can now easily handle 12 hours of 50k+.

Green plants are more important than max lighting! Build them up to reco levels and observe your plant to fine tune.

regardless of light source the measurements are the same as far as light reciev3d
its power or volume is footcandles. the spectrum is par . all lights have a spectrum. some more specific but once min par requirements is met it's about 5h3 intensity
