Mack's DTW auto watering system

I have a couple of grows using sprayers and have had no issues. I do have 2 sets and swap them a couple of times during the flowering cycle. I use 2 pumps and each plant has 4 sprayers, 2 from each pump so if I have a failure, the plants are still fed.

I am trying a couple of different configurations for my next round as I am completing my new grow room as we speak.

Your setup looks great as do the plants. Many thanx for the share.

Peace and Great Grows

Can you please explain how you wired the dump valve to close when pump turn on & open when pump turns off? Thank you.

Pretty simple. The "dump valve" is simply a "normally open" 110v solenoid valve. What that means is the valve will pass water as long as it is not energized. Once power is supplied, it shuts off. I have a plug wired in tandem to the solenoid valve and the pump. The plug goes into the timer. Once the timer turns on for a feeding, the valve is powered so it closes the dump circuit and the pump is allowed to pressurize the system and feed the plants. Once the timer shuts off, the pump stops and the solenoid valve opens to relieve pressure. If this still isn't clear, let me know and I'll take a picture with the cover off the junction box and annotate it.

Can you please explain how you wired the dump valve to close when pump turn on & open when pump turns off? Thank you.

Pretty sure I ordered from here (along with the 3/4" supply line)

Asmallvoice - thanks for the kind words. Right now I have a test run of four monsters from SickMeds Seeds and all is going great with this system. A few more weeks......

I kinda have the same setup but on a larger scale and with NO SPRAYERS. Those sprayers look like they would create humidity in my opinion. Do you water to runoff every time?

The sprayers don't atomize the feed water too finely so I don't believe it contributes to humidity too much. Plus, they don't run for long and don't spray beyond the pot if you set the height and position correctly (they spray down @ a 45 degree angle).

I have my timer set so it will feed enough water to get a decent amount of run off every time. In flower, I am feeding three times a night and keep my nutrient levels fairly low (4ml of H&G Cocos A&B per gallon). According to their feed chart, I should be feeding 10.5ml A/B.

This is my 4th run with this setup and it works like a champ. Feeding three times per 12hr light cycle with no clogs or other issues. Plants look beautiful. Still feeding around 1.2EC with no signs of deficiencies

I have a question. I finally plumbed up my system with the stakes but I guess the tubing I am using is not up to par. The tubing is misting/leaking from where I place the stakes at. I am using the soft black tubing. Should I go to the more rigid kind?

The Netafim spray stakes I bought came with a 90 degree rigid plastic fitting that securely fits to the sprayer with no leaks.

I have the same spray stakes. I realized I was not using a pressure regulator. I went and purchased one and I am about to see how it works out.
