Gastanker!!! u rock man, quality shots bigtime, and i loooooove your UVB setup, you have somewhat inspired me, and will be looking for UVB for my next grow, those resin glands look soo damn sticky and swollen, i just took some macro shots , I am now flushing my 100% perlite medium, this camera really does not do this bud justice! it just can't focus under HPS light, just before harvest i will stick a fluro in there to get some nicer shots, damn 5mp camera, i want 14mp!!!

Hehe, actually a pretty cheap three or four year old Cannon Power Shot SD750 - only 7.1 megapixel. Taking good macro shots is all about varying between macro, digital macro, tons of lighting, and fucking with shutter speed and digital zoom. For every half decent pic I get I throw away at ~10 half focus pictures.

You sure that's 7? Mine's 7 too, old Nikon lol. Yeah I do a lot of different techniques including flash diffusion for a macro/ring flash as well as all the stuff you mentioned. Your camera has more settings seems like, lol we really should upgrade. Thanks for the reply Gastanker.

I have supplement 6500k cfl's in my tent so I just moved those and used a piece of black construction paper for the background. I have a pretty steady hand but a tripod would make life awesome lol.

@ billcollector - Looking great! Are you just holding the camera? Great way to further stabilize it is to just use a stick and rest your hand with the camera on top of the stick. Can be a cane, yard stick, stick from the yard... as long is it is around the correct height for the photo. Helps me stabilize my shots 100% and with macros the smallest bit of movement has a huge difference.
