Mag/Cal Def cause of PH in soil???

I got some clones about a month ago. 3 chem4, 1 chem91 and 1 GDP. I have them growing under a T5 4 bulb florescent using FF happy frog for the first 2 weeks then into Fox farms ocean forest and perlite after that. Only my chem4s are looking sad. I think its some sort of Cal mag issue. Light green new shoots and some rusty spots on some of the older leaves. Some of the very bottom leaves are turning yellow and falling off. One of the plants i flushed with 6.7ish PHed water. That was about 5 days ago and them problem has not gotten any better. Another plant I watered with 1tsp/gallon Cal mag. That was 2 days ago and it looks to be getting a little worse.

So since flushing and feeding with cal mag did nothing. I'm thinking it has to be some sort of PH issue. My water has been Phed to 6.7ish every watering. Maybe the ffof that i'm using the PH is off? I have heard about people using dolemite lime but I havent used any myself. The plants are in 1 gallon pots. Should i transplant into bigger pots with FFOF and lime?? to make sure i have a proper PH in my soil?

Every thing was going fine. I started them off in solo cups with Fox Farms happy frog for two weeks. Thy grew nicely and had nice roots when i transplanted into 1 gallon pots. They grew just fine for 10 day in the 1 gallon pots and fox farms ocean forest. Then i left town for two days and they looked all sad.

I have encountered similar recently. You are going to want to check the ph of your runoff water. It is recommended to have at least 10-20% runoff per watering. The runoff ph will show you what the root ph is and will help you see what may need recalibration. The root ph is what she acctualy lives in and that's what we want to make sure is 6.3-6.7ph or whatever your preference. Giving her ph'd water is good cause it helps control what the root ph will be and yes your soil medium has food (nutrients) in it which affect ph so you will need to check the runoff ph and adjust the ph of the water you feed her to estalish your desired level.

I watered one of my plants today and the water was PH 6.7. When i checked the runn off it was in the 4s....??!??!? What does this mean ?? my soild acidic?? How do i fix this problem?

If the water going in the pot is 6.7 what should the run off ph be in soil.???
The weird this is I have 3 other plants in the same FFOF and perlite and they aren't having any problems. Only the chem4 from clone.
Please help.

pH of run off water will tell you NOTHING about your soil medium, and I highly doubt pH is the cause anyways. flushing an organically amended medium like the FF you have does nothing as well. Where do people get this shit from??? Need pictures...

Yeah def need some pics. How is the drainage of the soil? Im not saying it is ph but that's what mine did and I fixed me ph with dolomitic lime, 2tsp per gallon of soil and everything got better except the leaves stayed damaged but are still alive. I top dressed with the lime cause my plants were in theyre 5 gallon pot already. You can mix some in with your new soil when transplanting. Its kinda hard to use too much. Good luck friend.

They read it on the internets, and have no knowledge of soil chemistry.

Can someone tell what is wrong with my babies???

I've done different things to my 3 chem4 clones to see if I could fix the problem.. One of them I just flushed with 6.7 phed water. One i fed with 1/4tsp/gallon growbig, and the last I've fed with some calmag.

Please help.

your soil ph is probably high but i would flush with a 6.5 to 7 ph. add 1 to 2 tablespoons of neem oil in the water when you flush. could possibly be some soil bugs. if it is bugs just add up to 4 tablespoons of neem to every gallon you water with for 3 weeks then lower amount of neem. i thought i was having ph problems for a long time and it turned out to be bugs in soil. i finaly noticed when i found predator mites cleaning up the mess. i swear on adding neem oil to every watering now. havnt had a problem since.

If there were bugs in the soil of my Chem4 then there should be bugs in the rest of my plants soil since they both came from the same bag. But only the chem4 clones look bad.
I got some dolemite lime and top fed the chem4 which I had flushed about 5 days ago with 1 TBSP/gallon of soil. I'm hoping this will solve some of my problems.

Out of the 3 plants the one i fed with calmag is the one that looks the least fucked up. Any ideas????
