Wouldnt really bother looking for any magic mushrooms unless your very experienced, might get yourself killed..but from the pic, it doesnt look like a magic mushroom..

there growing at the side of the house where the cut grass is left which is also where i through out used weed plants

Shrooms grow naturally not just in cow shit, but the likliness of a shroom growing right by your house isnt good. If you really want to see if its a shroom, cut it at the bottom throw it in an air tight jar and make sure you bruise it, if the bruise doesnt turn blue after like 5-10 minutes its not very good idea to eat it..
