I use a 30x lighted loupe and love it, use it all the time.

I roam the area looking for spidermites to fry. The little smoke puff is very satisfying. I have one of those lighted magnifiers you get at Radio Shack. But now have a USB microscope on a laptop. They are about $10 more.

I used to use the small hand microscopes, but with my bad aging eyes, it's sometimes hard for me to focus. I ended up buying a children's toy microscope, called the EyeClops BioniCam. 100x/200x/400x, built in LED light, color LCD screen, and portable. Cost $65 on Amazon.

can i look at planets with a 60x ???

I've got a 45x magnifier witha LED light, and I can see some trichromes on some strains and on other strains I can;t see shit. I would buy at least a 100x if I could do it all over again. I don't think I could see shit with a 30x loop.

The best thing by far for looking at trichs is a real microscope. You can buy a vintage school scope on ebay for as little as $15. The Tascos are particularly good values. Make sure it has all the lenses and is working. It's like being in a magic forest of trichomes! I don't want to come home!
