Hi folks,

I'm looking for good ways (on a tight budget) to get some pictures of those sweet trichomes and keep an eye on their colouring.
Any and all recommendations are welcomed.

For less than $20 there are lots of lenses/microscopes that work with cell phones. Check Amazon. I’m sure you’ll get some recommendations.
I actually bought two different ones off amazon already and neither of them work to see the details of the trichomes, hense looking for some tried and tested product names from the folks on here!

It has a focus knob i just turn it max in one side.and the phone you zoom max and then center the microscope.you have to touch the bud with the scope and turn on its led light. I usually record a video then find grames that are in focus.

If i use only microscope it works great as well bit i get headache from looking

A little out of my price range right now but it'll go on the wish list for sure. That detail is impressive!

I mostly use these.

20 yo Radio Shack 30X lighted scope with 8x pop-up magnifying glass at the back end. 10X loupe and the top one is great for bug hunting about 3X with a little 5 or 6X built in for a closer look.

For real close-ups I got this 40 - 1000X USB scope that has a little wifi box so can use my phone to capture pics. At high magnification it needs a tripod but not equipped to mount on one so ground the plastic base to fit the lock on one of my tripods and can get nice clear shots. About $50 off Amazon.

Oh that's a good tip about the tripod! I have a small old camera tripod I could use with something like that.

Got this digital microscope off ebay for 50 bucks much better than a loupe there are heaps of cheap options out there, but when technology let's you down a loupe will do
