^^ i must be missing something.. does it "straighten out" a pheno when you clone it +8 times down to it's strain basics or what?
 
Yes I finished it under the magnum, I love that light. I got it on ebay for 400 ish. I did a ton of research and for some reason I always kept going back to the magnum, once I saw it on ebay it was a no brainer.
 
Thanks ! It was just a bag seed, sativa dominant. I just grew it to get used to light and ebb and flow system . I wish I would of saved a clone its really great wake and bake, it feels like an alcohol high.

what I was saying is pull 8 clones from the best pheno out of these 4 females and run another grow with 4 under this led and 4 under 1000s. Benchmark the time it take me to veg these to 28 inches and use that as the kick point and see what the differences are. It's not fair to say the LED made broader leaves in this instance simply because we are dealing with 2 different phenos.
 
Day 41 from germination, plants are 16 - 18 inches with many bud sites. The light is 30" above the canopy. Things are looking really good so far, I'm thinking another 2-3 weeks and I can kick these ladies over and start the 6 week flower extravaganza and see what this thing flowers like. The airpots are very impressive, the 2 plants in there are much nicer than the other 2 in regular pots. Watered today, food again on Saturday.

Sorry for the lack of updates, I went on a vacation to Mexico with some crazy little heatbag I met over the Christmas holiday. I'll spare you the details ;)

2-3 weeks more of vegging? That sounds like a lot given they are already 16-18 inches unless this strain doesnt stretch much during bloom.
Appreciate the report, very informative.

exactly what I was thinking. that's over a month veg? Im hoping to have a scrog screen filled in that time... stubby lil ladies I must say. anything like your vacation partner? :p
 
I veg mine to 18 in with a tomato ring. I veg for 2 - 3 months. Lst and main line for 8 - 16 even tops. His don't even look topped. So its barely into veg imo.
They look good as hard as it is to see them

From what I have been told you can expect very little stretching growing under these led lights? Worst case I'll knock em down super crop style.

I'm not sure what the deal is so far but from what I understand they are supposed to promote better feeder root development and allow for more nutrient uptake. Here is a link to the website http://www.airpotgarden.com theres a video on there that shows what they are supposed to be doing. I figured running 2 and 2 would give me a pretty solid indication if they have any impact on production.
