I have 5 more that I'm trying to let go a couple more weeks. But we'll see, have been dealing with some spotty rot. Tomorrow's rain has me worried. They are to big to cover so we ride out the storm.
Sorry to hear about the rot I have avoided it since I started spraying with keefir even tho I live in a really moist place.Guess we will see. The trichomes took an arse kicking. The trics were so thick, the buds looked fuzzy...not anymore. Time will tell.
If we can make it through the next several days it will warm back up but for now I'm pretty nervous ... mostly for my jelly pie that already took the hit. The others I'm not as concerned about.Boy how things can go south fast. Scrambled the past 2 days trying to harvest a few plants that I almost lost. I did lose one full plant to rot (1.5-2 lbs of bud). Was fine a few days ago. Total loss. We had our 4th hard frost in a week followed by extreme humidity/rain and a few of my plants couldn’t take it. Every leaf on two plants were brown and crumpled. Chopped those ones and other than looking like hell, should be ok after the final trim job. Harvested another I found a lot of mold...it needed one more week but not rolling the dice as I did with the other one I lost. On a positive, I’ve cut 3 so far that were done. Have two more ready that will get done over the next few days and two that are a couple weeks out. Lotta work. I’ve trimmed 24 of the past 48 hours.
The trials and tribulations of outdoor growing. Just when you think you’ve got it all under control. Lol. Noooooope.
First pic is about 1/4 of what I’ve trimmed. Last two are some of the buds that got frost bite.

Wow way colder over there than even all the way up here. Gonna be in mid-70's all week and lowest temp tomorrow night 46. Not so bad being in 60plus latitude. If we can make it through the next several days it will warm back up but for now I'm pretty nervous ... mostly for my jelly pie that already took the hit. Think about the milk/keefir treatment. You can find plenty online about it. These bacterias don't allow pm to grow. Glad you're sticking it out despite the problems with the orange. Best of luck with these storms.Hoping for the best for you.
Wind is just picking up here in the predawn hours. Light rain. Sounds like this will be over by noon and drier air is coming later today.
I'll go out after the rain ends and shake off the excess moisture. Hopefully I won't find much wind damage. Then if the breeze keeps up this afternoon maybe the buds will dry out. Trying to think positive here.
You can tape/support anything that’s still attached. My garden looked like Chernobyl last week and I lost virtually nothing. Couple of my plants looked like hell all bent over and twisted after fixing them up best I could and they survived. It won’t be as bad as you think.Damn...I just glanced out my office window when I heard the wind pick up to check on the garden and watched as both trellises collapsed.
Don't have the heart to walk over and inspect, and anyway there's no point because until this wind eases up anything I stand up is just going to blow back down.
There's a plant in the woods in a fabric pot I'll go check on, but guessing the garden is a total sh-tshow. Maybe I can salvage some of the Tomahawk at least.
Arrrgggh. Hell of a way to end my first ever attempt.
Brother I am hoping for the best for you. I feel your pain. All my plants got hit by a bad wind storm two weeks ago. I only staked the ones that were gonna put enough flower to harvest (3 of 10 others won't finish) plants on their sides, (been a bit paranoid to post pics here since can be found in a search engine) but this is your first and I can tell you they are hardy even if growing sideways! Mine that the slugs were particularly liking, I staked (happened to be most farthest into flower) and did Gangagurls suggestion to put beer out and will check up on but not stressed at all we put alot of time and money into keeping them healthy all season and it can cause anxiety but don't stress so much, it's a very hardy weed and can recover.Damn...I just glanced out my office window when I heard the wind pick up to check on the garden and watched as both trellises collapsed.

If they are blown over be VERY careful trying to lift off the ground, Thats when the stem snaps its very important to have extra set of hands. Thanks for the encouragement. Took a quick peek at lunch but then it started pouring and the wind didn't die down as NWS predicted so I'm back at work. Didn't see nearly as much breakage as I feared but everything's pushed right over onto everything else and the metal fenceposts that I tied the guy ropes for the trellis to were bent. Looked like it was gusting extremely hard in exactly the one direction where the garden is most exposed (southeast, where we very rarely get weather). Just a freak of Mother Nature--very "on brand" for 2020.
