Hey anybody with experience with Nebula's manifold...

When do you cut off the fan leaves after topping?

Do you wait until flowering to start getting rid of fan leaves or do you chop off fan leaves once you have topped or a few days after you have topped?

PD!

Im not sure exactly what you are asking but...when you top you remove all the growth under it. http://www.growweedeasy.com/manifold
Yeah, I get that....

But after I make the manifold, then the 8 colas... Do i remove the fan leaves from the original two main colas?

I know NugBucketa removes all growth. But Nebula's is slightly different and she makes the 8 colas by topping to the 3rd node then removing the 2nd nodes growth on the two main colas. So you now have four on each side.

My question is... Once I have the 4 on each side at what point do I remove the fan leaves of the growths I'm keeping.

Make sense?

I know what you are talking about...I use the method. So with nebs method and you chop the 4th and the second.... you then tie it down. Once the new growth comes you would top it. Once topped again you remove the fan leaves under it. This should give you 16 colas by this point.
Usually when I top them though, I wait a week to remove the fan leaves under my cut.

When you top you have two fan leaves sticking out right? You chop the ones below it. Then when your new growth fills out and you top again, .... you always top below that. Hard to put into words

I am doing this to some of my plants right now and its going very well so far. This plant is just over 3 weeks old. Barely 6" tall, and has 8 well formed tops with a flat flat canopy.
I can't believe that plant is only 3 weeks old...

From seedling?

Looks great btw!

Not the best pics from my phone, but you get the idea. This plant just had a light defoliation as well. I find that releasing the tie downs at some point helps bring up the last shoots to the level of the others. Lst from here on out and things should be ready to rock and roll soon.
