Folks, I think I have several serious issues going on at the same time.
This is in soil, and I'm a hydro guy. I got these clones, they were already in soil, and I was hoping to keep them alive and healthy long enough to get them into bubblers.
1. I know that I have thrips, quite obvious. I used a pyrethrine-based insecticide, it kept them down for maybe a week and then they came back up, hard. I don't want to use the same insecticide again, in case they get resistant. So I put up sticky traps, and I bought some insecticidal soap, I'm going to try that soon. The traps are already put up, caught a few of the fuckers.
2. I don't know whether I have a under/over fert problem, or a pH problem. I know how to test water pH, but not how to test soil pH.
3. I am trying to let the pots get quite light before I water, so that I don't over water (another benefit of bubblers, no overwatering). You can see from some of the damage that some of them got kinda dried out and fried a bit. Some of the damage looks like overwatering, but i'm letting them get quite dry before watering them!
4. The mildew/fungus comes back fast! I sprayed with sulphur, and I don't think you're supposed to do that more than like once every two weeks, but the mold came back after like 1 week!
All help appreciated!
