Lets say I have auto AK47 seeds and want to be able to make more seeds for further use, not have to buy seeds continuously. Could I cross...

a) auto AK47 x auto AK47 (get something close enough)

or

b) AK47 x Lowryder (how it's usually done)

My thinking is the auto ak47 strain is stable because you can get regular seeds. Usually unstable strains are selfed and only fem seeds are available...am I right?

Are there any IBL autos or some that breed true?

the only way i see this happening is if you manage to get a male and female plant of each an then let the male spread its pollin all over that female... otherwise i dont see it happening

You want seeds? LST a Female all through bloom when you feed her feed her cold h2o/nutes. There are a couple of other things that promote the possibility of hermie. She should herm on you and all the he/she seeds are feminized. S1 it's called.

You do not want to stress herm a plant to create S1 seeds. they will carry herm traits.

If you want feminized auto seeds you would use some form of Silver spray, Colloidal Silver or the other one.)


I warn you Sprays (silver or t.mist) take a while to work. You must spray the entire life of the seedling because it will change over within 20-30 days to full bloom.

If you want regular., Take a male auto x a female auto, the same or different strains) and your progeny will be all auto.

If the parents are not stable then you can expect to lose the auto trait and need to get it back again through multiple generations of inbreeding.

A sativa pheno Lowryder male was crossed with a very potent white pheno Sputnik 2.0 female, from these came a very resinous purple sativa pheno sputnik 2.0 x Lowryder f1 female that was then crossed with a sativa pheno Sputnik 2.0 x Lowryder f1 male. In the f2's there were 3 AF's out of about 40 plants, 1 sativa pheno male and 2 sativa pheno females (1 was purple the other white). Both were pollinated but the purple was more impressive so that is what was worked with. In the f3's there were 12 AF's out of about 40 plants, 9 females and 3 males. The nicest male which was a purple pheno pollinated the 9 females which were also all purple phenos. Approximately 100 seeds from the f4's were grown out, chosen from the 2 nicest females. 100% of the f4 plants auto-flowered within 21 days from seed (the pics are f4's). A sativa pheno male (also purple) pollinated about 20 females. Currently the f5's taken from the best females are being worked with.

Yeah I have like 30 S1 from a hermi and every plant from those throws at least 1 seed. Tuche Six.

Thanks guys this is super helpful. I'm reading The Cannabis Breeder's Bible and there's alot of contradictiong info every where. I'm going to have to start some experementing.
