I have to be honest, I skipped the instructions on the first run through. Only because I'm always on my phone and the videos never load.
Just took the time after a couple tall boys [vape bags] and did it right. Ha that was fuckin spot on with my brain felt like I was watching it right in front of me. I think I get it now almost pretty much full circle
Edit_ and that full dish looks like a bomb dessert for the brain

Likewise. I'm sitting on all kinds of new oil glass and accessories, yet without any concentrates. Sounds like I need to go to the store...
Sr. Verde I prefer my oil on the lighter side. yours appears to be black, perhaps burned ro overheated. My method is similar to yours, but I just use warmth and the vacuum pump. Let me show you how to keep the honey golden bro.
create a vacuum inside a container causing the butane to bubble out of the oil
This method DOESN'T require heat (though it does help speed things up if it is warm) and ensures that all butane has left the oil.
Personally I still purge on a warm dish because I do multiple runs so the oil sits for a while.
Once the oil starts to thickin up I begin the vacuum process.
On to the tools. A vacuum sealer or hand pump one will not get the pressure you need. The best tool is a mighty vac hand pump found at most automotive stores, used for bleeding brakes.

Now there are a couple different methods. You can use a mason jar or just create a lid for the pyrex dishes. The smaller the container the better as there is less air to pump out.
I created a lid using a piece of plexiglass and rubber. The vacuum pump comes with a suction cup which is perfect for this. I simply drilled a little hole in the center.

then you just pump away. Here in CO i've only been able to get up to 21 and it's takes a lot of pumping.
at sea level you should be able to get it to 25 or 26.

slight warmth is nice at this point as it will make the oil more viscous allowing the butane to escape easier. The main benefits of not using heat are that the color will not be affected (oil darkens with heat), you aren't decarbing of the thc or cannabinoids and the oil maintains a more consistent and presentable appearance. Often butter is due to to much heat, though I have come across many a strain that auto butter.

Hard candies are most defiantly made with heat!! When making hard candies you typically heat water, sugar and corn syrup to 300 degrees F. THC breaks down around 375 (vaporizer temps) and CBD/N's break down around the 340 degree F. So when you make cookies/fudge from canna-butter, or hard candies with BHO always make sure your temps NEVER exceed 325 degrees F. The THC will be active around 300 but destroyed at 375 - 400. I cook my cookies at 325 and use a candy thermometer to make sure that my butter/trim slurry doesn't go over 325 either. I like the medicinal effects of the CBD/N's so I try and make sure I don't destroy them when making my butter.
If I get some BHO or ever bubble hash, I may trying to make suckers or hard candies. Right now it's just fudge and cookies.

There's no way to control the dosage. It could be too much!" My reply, "It's never too much." She rolls her eyes and walks away. Bah, non tokers.
If your a light toker? hahahahah you would pass out, or feel buzzed for like a long time, hell a gram can last you a good while-one dab rocks your world!

If you're in Florida sure, I'm thinking Labor day weekend. Going out camping with about 700 of my closest friends, sounds like a good time to break out this Fondue for the first time.

Oh and a batch of my cookies is approx 60 cookies per half lb of butter. 1 will put a 'casual' toker under the table for about 3 hours. So this fondue which feeds 'up to 6 people' will probably obliterate most people with one or two dippings of fruit.
I can eat 6 - 10 of my cookies a day, so when I change my receipt I need people who don't have the tolerance to Delta 9 THC that I have. I've been eating my cookies for about 2 years I can honestly eat 3 in a sitting and feel almost nothing. I'm thinking next time I get my hands on good trim I'm experimenting with making BHO.
Oh if you haven't ever had edibles, you have no tolerance for them. When you burn or vaporize marijuana it converts it from Δ9 THC to Δ5 THC. Ingesting it doesn't put it through the chemical reaction that burning it does, so you get pure Δ9 THC.

Hi Sr. Verde and co.. I'd love to make some BHO.. Have you got erm... a complete step by step guide from beginning to end and a price list etc for the equipment used etc.. ??
It looks pretty complex and I can easily see it will take a few goes to get it right!
What happens if you dont purge enough?? will it kill you or have any serious or bad side effects? Is it possible to purge more than 5 times or is this the best amount of times for a superior result?
and whats the min amount of Bud you need/the reccomended amount ?? Are there different grades of gas you can use? ..If so which is best?

& munch box...... I already vac purge, as I said I go through 4 different 10 min vac purges minimal ...
My oil is just very very dark, you pull up a dab and it's very beautiful AMBER... the nuggets it came from were covered in AMBER trichs.. Also it is from shake that i collect.
I make oil, same method, with very very sativa strains and get something like this:
After being rewarmed and re vacced 4 times... still 'blonde'
the other day
It's all about the trichs... I'm not heating it up past 170 for more than 20-30 seconds to get it molten before the vac purge... then it's only warmed with hot hot tap water.
The darker oils knock your ass down, this is made from hybrid bud that smells quite fruity/grapey. I hand a dish to people and they smell the oil from the dish and can tell me what I was already thinking
The blonde stuff is tangerine dream..

you want a mighty vac, food saver jar... parchment paper, razor blades... a tube (stainless steel turkey baster will hold 7g at a time) or a tube meant for oil running.. costs like $60 but its what I use & I love it. Great investment.... dont forget really GOOD butane.. like 4x refined... usually Vector but different regions have different stuff... you just dont want any contaminates, you want the purest butane you can get your hands on for a clean oil extraction... also you need to work outside ALWAYS!
