I was reading that colder temps cause a purple coloring?????
Is this entirely tue or is there more involved??? Like if I left my mature plants a little longer outside when itgets colder it will force the buds to purple???
Also what exactly will happen to a plant as it passes it peak harvest time?? Whatdamage can be caused and anyone know when the best time to harvest in new England (Boston Area)?? Thanks for the the knowlege

Depending on strain...thc/cann...drop drastically!
If anything it would make the product more potent. The plant senses the cold weather(nearing end of life) so it's going to give everything to try to catch as much pollen as possible. Ie to produce seeds for the next bout.

And yes the plant/bud will have a purple tinge because of the cold.

Not all strain turn color with temp drop. But you are right about the plant producing more resin!

I was wondering the same , if the plant would produce more by cold stressing it.
If it does , i will be verry glad =D
As far as i know , Buds do turn purple ,blue if its cold outside , it also slows the growth down a bit.
Right now im hoping my plant make it.
look at my signature.

Yaah!!!!thats what I said, but tux seem to think all bud turns purple......maybe purple kush hey!!!!!!

Don't be so worried about color, worry more about the right time to harvest...
Purple don't make it better!

rambler420 I Love weed too! Awesome to see a girl who grows! Hi. and at least you seem to know that not all weed will change color! cool.

I have a girl and the stems on all the leafs are purple, just the top part of the stem, not the under. I've never seen anything like it.
