i dont understand.. you decarb after extract not before. And I'm using BHO so Id prefer to decrarb to remove 100% of the butane. You could use regular shatter from winterized oil. Decarbed meds have different effects though. Definitely stronger in the pain and sleep category in my opinion.why decarb @ 200 before extract?? Why not just evaporate the alcohol @ 275 -300*F that will activate the THC in the oil......
If you don't activate the oil or marijuana (decarb) and you ingest the oil in pill form you wont get high...just as if you eat raw weed you wont get high...you cant get high off eating a gram of hash either...but add the hash to some really hot coffeeWhat do you mean when you say decarbed meds have different effects.
Why would they be more sedative?
Do you mean vs the thca and cbda non decarbed meds orally? Or like vs smoked bud
Honestly just trying to get your opinion/point of view, whatever
If you cant decarb naturally you should always do it after extraction and watch bubbles
Do you think it would bind as well with the MCT compared to the coconut oil? On a molecular level i mean. The coconutgood to see you qwiz
have any of yall tried to make the capsules with pure MCT oil? instead of coconut oil?
im not sureDo you think it would bind as well with the MCT compared to the coconut oil? On a molecular level i mean. The coconut
oil is a good mix in my opinion for that specific reason. The fat content allows the THC oil to homogenize better under heat.
When the capsule is released into the system if the oils aren't bonded correctly you might get a different effect.
I've noticed that the 130's that i made are more sedative then the 140's. The difference is the oil and how long they were decarbed and at what temp. So what you just posted makes perfect sense to me and a great thing to know in the future.Put over a double boil, keeping it at 210 you know. And watch the oil release little bubbles, thats it decarbing. When they slow its good to go, like popcorn lol. This is the best way to keep from overdoing it. Most people who make edibles or caps wind up with a more sedative product, thats because they heated it to much breaking down the more sensitive thc and also creating cbn while leaving nice stable cbds.
An edible should not be sedative, or atleast not more so. The thc gets cinverted in your liver to a more potent form
