What's up RIU. So Ive decided to make the switch from hps to timber cobs but i have a couple questions. I'm planning on blowing most of my funds on my flowering area so I was looking for cheap veg lights that would cover 2 3x3 tents. I was considering one of there 200w 4000k veros in each but was wondering if there where any better options to save a couple bucks to throw more watts into flower? Also I'm planning on eather running 1500w to 1800w in flower, do y'all think it would be better to run the 3500k or the 3000k?

I'll check them out. Thank you
They were very helpful in telling me what I needed parts wise and how it all connect up. If you can build your own aluminum frame to mount your cobs and driver to then you should be good to go.

I pulled 15.5 ounces of primo dense nugs off my first run with my cob light in a 2x4 tent. I could have done a little better but I had some empty space and a few runts. Probably could hit 1.25 pounds out of there. I was super impressed at how far LED lighting has come.

Damn that's impressive. How many watts where you running
Really don't know but somewhere around 300. My rig can blast up to 480 watts but I run it significantly dimmed for that space. I wanted 8 cobs instead of 6 so I could get better spread and the setup runs more efficient when it's dimmed as a bonus, save a few watts. The last few weeks I dim even more as that prevents foxtailing and provides denser nugs. They were like rocks on most of the strains I had in there. Terpene production was amazing. I was totally skeptical about the LED lighting as I have been a HPS guy for 30 years.

I'll definitely be looking into them man that's really badass. Thank you for the info. I've been fighting heat from 3000w of hps for years so I'm looking forward to seeing what these can do
The Timber product is excellent as well, only difference with the cobkits option is you can save a few bucks perhaps, and you can customize your light build. I would expect the same results from a timber light with 300 watt output. @RainDan is helpful and can provide answers to any questions you may have about the Timber line. I was going to buy a Timber until I found I could save a little bit of dough. That said if I was buying a bunch of lights to replace my HPS lights I would go with the Timber lights simply so I didn't have to build them all. I would go with a dozen Fatty VS lights to replace my DE HPS lights.

Aim for 600 watts of quality LED to replace the old 1000 watt HPS.

Remember that you may need to run your canopy temps a little warmer with LED due to the lack of infrared. Wanna have optimal leaf surface temps.
